Interviewee: We were asked to a do a Nativity play the first year in the Palace, in the throne room, where they made a stage for us, curtains, wonderful lighting effects and every child’s parent, one parent, was invited. It was so thoughtful – they really were wonderful. My mother was even invited. It was quite wonderful how thoughtful they were. Then the next year we were asked to do a pantomime because the Queen and Princess Margaret had done a pantomime as Guides so she wanted Princess Anne to have the same opportunity. So we did Cinderella in the same place but it took so much time. There was so much to have to do with rehearsals and things that it was not easy to fit them all in.
