Interviewee: Robert Blockey, who was the Curator I suppose at that time, was young and very good with young people and he had I think it was an uncle called Captain Knight who had a live eagle and he used to have this in the museum on his arm and us kids used to go in on Saturday mornings and it was really intriguing. I can remember one day because he let it go and then of course it had old bits of rabbit or something that they fed it on and he always said it would come back. Well on this particular occasion it went down into Collard’s and appeared to disappear altogether and we all went rushing down Collard’s to see and eventually, of course, it did come back.
