Interviewee: I remember the coal coming with a wonderful old Shire horse and cart. All the coal was delivered like that. We used to have to go out and count the sacks to make sure he was giving us the right number.
Interviewer: Where did the coal come from then?
Interviewee: The coal was all stored by the station and there was a little kiosk place there called ’Tim’s’ where you went or you telephoned to order how many hundred weight you wanted and they came in sacks and they tipped them into the house. You had an indoor part of the house where there was a coal place to store it so ever so much could be put in there at one time.
