Interviewee: There was a chemist, and there was Astra Radio, and then the Laundry. The Chemist was there for years and I can remember part of it, during the War, it was called a National Restaurant and for 4d you go along there and get a dinner. It wasn’t all that good but it supplemented the rationing.
